Extended Health Care

The extended health care provided in the MIG benefit package is designed to cover major medical expenses that employees and their dependants might incur, over and above the provincial medical plan.

Extended health care provides prescription medication, semi-private hospital accommodation, and the services of various other health care practitioners. Durable medical equipment, vision and hearing aids are included as well.

Medical Travel Assistance

Provides medical coverage to the employee and family members while traveling abroad - for business or pleasure. Applies to all trips of not more than 90 days in duration.

Dental Care

All employees enrolled in the extended health Care Plan are eligible for Dental Care. Dental coverage includes two annual checkups / cleanings, and any required endodontic or periodontal work.

Vision Care Plan

The Company has a self-funded vision care plan. Employees and their dependent family are covered.

Life Insurance

Employees are covered under a group insurance plan that provides up to $50,000 of Life Insurance coverage. Employees may purchase additional coverage.
